Of the three courses I tested, SpeakSpanishFast was the absolute best. It strikes the perfect balance of features and price. The two things that really stuck out to me were how easy and fun learning a language could be if you have the right program. Learning from SpeakSpanishFast didn’t feel like a chore.
But with a name like SpeakSpanishFast, you probably want to know just how fast I was able to pick up the language. Now, it’s hard for me to judge speed because I was testing these three programs simultaneously. However, I felt like I was retaining the language faster with the methods used by SpeakSpanishFast. SpeakSpanishFast focuses on using memory methods that will help you learn and remember key Spanish words and grammar usage faster, which it seems like actually were working. Again, it was hard for me to completely tell the difference here since I was using the three programs at the same time.
Want to know the best thing about SpeakSpanishFast? The price! You only have to pay $5 for 21 days of access! You can learn as much as you want in the 21 days and then you can cancel the program if you think you learned everything you want and then all it costs is $5. You really can’t go wrong with SpeakSpanishFast. It’s the best way to learn Spanish quickly, and it’s the program I recommended to my brother when he was going to study abroad in Spain and it worked very well for him.
I’m a pretty big fan of Rocket Spanish, and if it weren’t for SpeakSpanishFast, I would definitely go with Rocket Spanish. Rocket Spanish gives you 32 complete lessons, which run about 20 to 30 minutes each. These lessons are standard, but the Rocket Spanish program really shines when you look at its other offerings. Rocket Spanish has a pretty neat software game that helps take some of the dullness out of studying. I found that the software was a really helpful way for me to learn the vocab words. In school I always sucked at vocab, but this seemed to do the trick.
The number one thing I liked about the software was the 24/7 coaching that comes with it. It’s not live coaching where you can just call someone and chat with them for a while, but you can email them or post on their forum at any time and you’ll get help. When I emailed them for help I usually received a reply in just a few hours. While a phone tutor would be awesome, obviously I realize this would have to come at a very premium price.
Overall, I think the program is a bit pricey. But when I considered the price tag of Rosetta Stone, Rocket Spanish was a bargain. And when you consider everything that’s included with Rocket Spanish, it really isn’t too expensive. If the price tag doesn’t scare you off though, the program is definitely worth buying.
The third program I rated is Learning Spanish Like Crazy. Overall, I didn’t think that the fundamentals of the program are bad. However, I wasn’t a big fan of the way it was taught. It was hard for me to learn the way they taught it, but it’s possible that you might have some better success.
I have to say, if you are interesting in Latin Spanish, then this course is probably going to be the best for you because it’s the only one that actually focuses on Latin Spanish. However, if that’s not the case, then you’re going to be better off with one of the other courses for learning Spanish quickly. I found this course to be a bit boring and tedious. On top of being worse than the other two courses above, it was also expensive. It’s pretty much the same price as Rocket Spanish, yet it was much inferior. If you want to become fluent in Spanish, then I recommend the two courses above more than Learning Spanish Like Crazy. You’re going to get a lot more bang for your buck with those courses, and you’ll learn a lot more.
